D-I-Y braid wear

Want to know some chic ways to dress that braid up? You don’t even need to step out of your neighbourhood. Just raid your dresser or your local novelty store for these do-it-yourself tweaks.

Insert bobby pins with pearls into your braid. If they aren’t available nearby, then take apart that old plastic bead necklace and glue them on to your pins. Or wear the beady necklace as a hairband and pull off a Greek goddess look.

Flowers- either real ones or made of paper. But unlike our usual string of jasmine or rajnigandha, insert singular ones into your braid with the help of pins. And don’t worry about symmetry; the charm lies in the feeling of it being peppered across your plait.

You can also get cloth flowers at your local fancy store. Pin it to a low bun or weave them into your crown braid with secure clips to hold them in place.

Have you got a necklace or pendant you were planning to wear with your outfit?  Well, then drape it across your hair! It will stand out against your dark, shiny locks, much better than on your neck.

This one is pretty simple. Fasten your fishtail with a satin ribbon gentler than those elastic rubber bands and legitimately more glam.

Metallic bangles, woven into your braid, peeking out from it, lends an almost secretive shine, making you stand out in a crowd or at a music festival.

Butterfly clips on your braid. This one’s a no brainer. You can get them from any neighbourhood store, and they can be fastened across or simply clipped onto one or several braids.
