A Bollywood wedding is a sight to behold.
These celebrity brides do it right on their big day, becoming trendsetters for good reason. Read on to unfold the glitz, the glamour, the gorgeousness of it all.
All you need is some clear rubber band, a rattail comb, bobby pins, and some hair accessories- there are many elegant hairstyles for weddings to choose from.

1. Bipasha Basu’s Bong Bonanza

When Bipasha Basu met Karan Singh Grover, a love story was born. Not too late after, the hashtag #monkeywedding followed suit. This trending wedding had all the glam quotient we expect the Bong beauty to bring, while also being truly fun.
For the most part Bipasha’s hairstyle for her wedding was hair left loose; but for the main wedding ceremony, she had a donut up-do that served as a perfect elevation for her beautiful red veil. It also acted as a great partner to her jewellery and the traditional Bengali mukhut.

A step by step guide for this wedding hairstyle:
1. Pull all your hair together, and comb neatly using a tail comb. Push all your hair behind, and tie it into a neat ponytail. Secure using a rubber band.
2. Slip the donut bun into the ponytail.
3. Then, cover the bun with your hair. Just take the strands from your ponytail, turn it, and then tuck it into the sides of the donut bun. You will have to use your hands to hold the hair tight.
4. Once that is done, you could use another rubber band to secure it.
5. Divide the strands that are sticking out into two parts, and twirl each part around the bun. Secure this excess hair with bobby pins.

2.Shahid Kapoor’s Beautiful Bride

Sure, there was a collective sob by the female population when their object of affection, Shahid Kapoor, got hitched. But one look at the pretty Mira Rajput, and you’ll know why. She entered the mandap looking poised and graceful; and a picture of them on their wedding day will tell you they truly are a match made in heaven.
She did her hair up in an elegant, low chignon which was enhanced with a phasa and maang tikka.

A step by step guide for this wedding hairstyle:
1. Section your hair in two parts horizontally and clip the top part.
2. Tease the lower part with the tail comb to create volume. Then, using a clear rubber band, tie up the teased hair into a low bun.
3. Now open up the top part and part the hair. You could part it at the center or on the side like Mira did.
4. Now, take the left most part of the hair at the right side of the bun, and pin it up under the bun using bobby pins.
5. Similarly, take the right part over the right side of the bun and pin the hair below the bun.
6. Now, lift the bun up, and pin it up so that it is closer to the scalp. Grab all the loose strands, tuck them in at the bottom and pin it up using bobby pins.
7. Don't forget to pin up the sides as well so that there are no hollows and your bun is pinned up nice and tight. This will give you a good base for any other ornamentation, and also your head jewelry.

3.Dia Mirza’s Delicate Look

When Dia Mirza sealed the deal with her long-term sweetheart, we knew it was worth the wait. The gorgeous actress looked spectacular at her mehendi, combining her lively personality with a bright look. A Hyderabadi at heart, she went the Nawabi route for her wedding.

For her mehendi, she sported the trendy khajoori or fishtail braid with great pizazz. This versatile hairstyle worked well with to combine her traditional heritage and modern looks. You can also add flowers or jewellery to jazz it up, just like Ms. Mirza did.

A step by step guide for this wedding hairstyle:
1. Brush your hair well, and part it right at the center.
2. If you want any strands to frame the face, leave them out.
3. Pull the rest of your hair back into a ponytail slightly to one side, and secure it with a rubber band. You can cut off the rubber band later. Tying your hair now will help you get a better grip.
4. Divide the ponytail into two equal sections.
5. Now take a small part of your hair, from the outside of the right section, and divide it into two parts.
6. Take the top strand over the larger right section to get the look of your braid right, and the other small strand under it. Then combine both the smaller parts into the larger left section.
7. Now take a small part of your hair from the outside of the left section and divide it into two parts.
8. Take the top strand over the larger left section, and the other small strand under the larger left section. Then combine both the smaller parts into the larger right section.
9. Continue steps 5 to 8 until you have about four inches of your hair remaining. Secure the braid using a clear rubber band.
10. Tug on the outside edges of the braid to give it that messy look. Start at the bottom and then move up. Tug gently, or you could end up ruining the braid. Once you are happy with the look, cut the top rubber band.

Picking one of these elegant hairstyles for weddings, popularized by celebrities is as tricky as choosing the right dress!
